Walking in Stockport

Stockport Council is committed to improving conditions for new and existing pedestrians, and actively working towards increasing the number of journeys undertaken locally by foot.

Such work may take the form of improvements on a network of selected paths, producing maps to encourage people to go by foot, and the Walkaday programme to encourage people to get active!
