Stockport Council’s Public Cycle User Group

The Cycle User Group currently meets once per month in the Town Hall, and is open to all cyclists and others who have an interest in cycling.

It provides an opportunity for members of the public, Council officers and Councillors to discuss aspects of cycling in Stockport, and to suggest ways to further develop what is available to local cyclists.

General meetings have a wide-ranging agenda that may include issues of transport policy, road safety and rights of way; alternate month sub-group meetings focus on the design of highway schemes from a cycling point of view.

Meeting dates up until mid 2012 are as follows:

  • 19 Jan 2012 - General meeting
  • 16 Feb 2012 - Sub-group
  • 8 Mar 2012  - General meeting
  • 18 Apr 2012 - Sub-group
  • 17 May 2012 - General meeting
  • 14 Jun 2012 - Sub-group
