Redbrow Wood

The Woodland

The wood is a site of biological importance (SBI) and has been identified as ancient woodland. The woodland is situated on a series of terraces that drops down to the river.

Getting here and accessibility

Redbrow wood is situated in Romiley off Compstall Road on the north bank of the River Etherow between Romiley and Compstall. The northern boundary is with the Cherry tree estate. Access is from Alamein Drive and Waterford Avenue. Take care as some sections of path are steep.
