The Woodland
This is a small area of broadleaved woodland in Cheadle. The Micker Brook flows through it and it is part of an important corridor of woodland. The dominant trees are sycamore and ash. It has a good population of nesting birds and woodland flowers can be found during spring and summer.
Getting here and accessibility
There are two main entrances. The first is off Wilmslow Road at Downs Bridge. The second is from High Grove Road to the west of the site. A path runs through the wood although some areas may be impassable at certain times of the year.
