Stockport is committed to improving the energy efficiency of all housing in the borough, and reducing Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels, the major contributor to global warming.
We are heavily involved in the Affordable Warmth Strategy and Steering Group which is a strategy which targets the vulnerable groups in the Borough who suffer from fuel poverty (defined as a household spending more than 10% of its annual income on fuel).
