The Council uses an online portal to assist in undertaking consultation on planning and transport policy documents. The system enables us to engage in meaningful consultation with stakeholders via the internet.
Electronic consultation provides an enhanced experience for consultees where they can provide comments (also known as representations) on specific points within a document, see that their comments have been received, share comments with other consultees, and track the outcome of those comments.
Before you are able to comment on any consultation document you will need to register yourself within the system. Whilst this is a requirement of statutory consultation on planning documents, it also has the benefit that, once registered, you can choose to automatically receive notification by email when new documents become available for comment.
To view or comment on consultation documents please see the 'Planning Policy Consultation Portal'.
