School Catchment Areas
Each community primary and secondary school, Church of England primary and Reddish Vale Technology College has a geographical area around it called a Catchment Area.
Every address in Stockport falls within the catchment area of only 1 Primary and 1 Secondary school. If you wish to be considered for a place at your catchment school you must include it as one of your preferences.
The catchment area website allows parents to view which is the catchment school or Associated Catholic school for their address.
The website also indicates which Catholic Primary & Secondary school associated area you live in. Catholic schools each use different oversubscription criteria, you should consult the school's website which will give you full details of their oversubscription criteria or Policy document.
The Metropolitan Borough of Stockport is also served by Stockport Academy, should you wish to apply for the Academy you will need to include it as one of your preferences on your application.
Important Changes to Catchment Areas.
In September 2012 the following changes to Secondary School catchment areas will take place:
- If you live in the catchment area of Cale Green Primary School the secondary School catchment area will be Bramhall High School.
