Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council

Stockport Care Ambassadors

Care Ambassadors is part of a national Skills for Care initiative and is supported by Stockport Council. We work with a number of partners and many private and voluntary social care providers.

The aim of the Care Ambassadors is to promote social care as an exciting career option, including the variety of different jobs available and the benefits of working in social care.

The Care Ambassadors do this by working with schools, colleges, job centre plus and other local agencies.  They provide presentations, activities and discussions to help share their experiences and knowledge of working in social care.

The Care Ambassadors provide a wide variety of sessions in relation to developing an understanding of a career in social care.  We are currently working on projects with Jobcentre Plus, local schools and colleges and the 14 – 19 diploma in Health and Social Care.

We are actively seeking opportunities across Stockport to spread the word about working in social care.

If you would like a care ambassador to attend an event or support a project that you are working on please contact us.

We hope the information provided will answer any questions that you may have. If you have any questions or can not find the information that you require please contact us using 'Related Contacts'.
