The first elections of Police & Crime Commissioners (PCC) took place in each police authority area in England & Wales on Thursday 15th November 2012.

Following the local elections held in Stockport on 3rd May 2012, the new state of the Council is as follows:

  • Liberal Democrats: 28
  • Labour: 21
  • Conservative: 10
  • Independent Ratepayers: 3
  • People Matter: 1

Cheadle Constituency

  • MILLER Martin,  Lab,  4,920
  • MOORE Tony,  UKIP,  1,430

Majority = 3,272 and Turnout = 72.7%

Hazel Grove Constituency

  • ABERCORN Annesley G,  Con, 14,114
  • SCORER Richard, Lab, 5,234
  • STUNELL Andrew, LD, 20,485
  • WHITTAKER John, UKIP, 2,148

Majority = 6,371 and Turnout = 66.7%

Stockport Constituency

  • HOLLAND Stephen A,  Con  9,913,
