Register of Members' Interests

Within 28 days of their election, Councillors are required to register their financial and various other interests in a register maintained under section 81 (1) of the Local Government Act 2000 by providing written notification to the Authority's Monitoring Officer. They are also required to keep the Register updated.

Statutory Co-opted Members of the Council's Children & Young People Scrutiny Committee, and the Standards Committee, are also required to register their interests.

A version of each  Register of Members' Interest is available under the information page for each Councillor.

Every effort will be made to keep the electronic version of the register up-to-date. However, the definitive statutory version of the Register and the entries for Co-opted  may only be viewed at the Town Hall. To arrange to view this document use the contact details under 'Related Contacts'.
