Members' Allowances

The Council's Constitution includes a Members' Allowance Scheme that sets out the allowances paid to Councillors and Co-opted Members to enable them to carry out their duties.

Details of the Allowances paid to Councillors and Co-opted Members for Council approved duties for the 2009-2010 and 2010/11 financial year are viewable below.

Independent Remuneration Panel

The Council is currently recruiting to its Independent Remuneration Panel.  The Panel makes recommendations to the Council on the level of allowances payable to members.
