Contact Your Councillor

The Borough of Stockport is made up of 21 wards with 3 Councillors representing each ward.

The Council is composed of 63 Councillors as follows (as of 6 December 2012); 

  • Liberal Democrats 29;
  • Labour 21;
  • Conservative 10;
  • Independent Ratepayers 3.

Councillors are normally elected for a period of four years and elections usually take place on the first Thursday in May on three out of four years.
