The reports are produced annually and provide an update on our achievements against the Comprehensive Diversity and Equality Scheme (Scheme) which we published in December 2006.

Employment Report
As part of this commitment we monitor our performance in terms of the diversity of our workforce.
The Diversity In Employment Annual Report links to Directorate diversity actions incorporated into business plans and the Equality Schemes and associated action plans adopted by the Council, the Equalities Standard for Local Government, Best Value Performance Indicators as well as the work of the Corporate Diversity Steering Group and Directorate based Diversity Steering Groups.
The report covers a range of issues concerned with the Council’s performance as an equal opportunities employer. In looking at the issues in the round it is possible to get an appreciation of current performance across all the principle areas of diversity monitoring.
- This report analyses monitoring information relating to employees and applicants by ethnicity, gender age and disability.
- This report highlights the performance of the Council with regard to the composition of its workforce in terms of diversity on the 31st March 2008.
