Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council

Anti-Social Behaviour Action Team

The Anti-Social Behaviour Action Team was set up to deal with incidents of nuisance behaviour by adults and young people in the Stockport area. The team works in partnership with the police and other agencies and offers support when you report nuisance and anti-social behaviour and works with you to challenge and resolve such behaviour.

Reporting anti-social behaviour and grime is the first step to stopping it. Have as much information to hand as you can, names, dates, street names and times are very useful if you have them.

To report anti-social behaviour get in touch using the Anti Social Behaviour Reporting Line or complete the new Online Reporting Form by following the 'Related Link' on the right of this page. Please note these are not emergency or same-day services.

We will use the utmost discretion when dealing with your call. Please note that this service is not an emergency or same day service. We will however, by following the procedures outlined, contact you and report back what we have done to try and resolve the problem.

Anti-social behaviour may include:

  • Harassment of residents or passers-by
  • Verbal abuse
  • Criminal damage
  • Vandalism
  • Graffiti
  • Noise nuisance
  • Kerb crawling
  • Prostitution
  • Begging
  • Drinking alcohol under age
  • Grief riding
  • Vehicle-related nuisance

Any information you give us will be treated confidentially and we believe that if all partnership agencies, residents and the community work together we can successfully challenge and resolve anti-social behaviour.

You can help us and your community by:

  • Reporting the problem as soon as possible
  • Keeping a note of the dates, times, who is involved and what is happening.

Safer Stockport Partnership cannot challenge bad behaviour if we are not told about it. You are the eyes and ears of the Community and by working together we can make Stockport a safer place in which to live and work.

If you have been in contact with the team you may want to tell us how you found the experience and you can do this by completing the Customer Satisfaction Survey form in 'Related Documents' on the right of this page.
