Fees for Civil Partnerships in approved premises are payable at least four weeks before the ceremony.
Listed below are the fees charged for ceremonies and certificates;
Civil Partnership Fees - Notice of Civil Partnership
Before you form a Civil Partnership both individuals are required legally to give notice of Civil Partnership. There is a statutory charge for this of £35.00 each.
Civil Partnership Fees - Civil Partnership at the Register Office
The fee to be paid on the day is £50.00, and includes the cost of one certificate, issued on the day.
Civil Partnership Fees - Civil Partnership at Approved Premises
The fees for Civil Partnerships at Approved Premises, inclusive of the certificate, from 1st April 2014 are shown below:
- £274.00* Monday - Thursday
- £384.00* Friday
- £404.00* Saturday
- £444.00* Sunday and Bank Holidays
An additional booking fee of £30 including VAT is required to secure a confirmed time, date and venue. This fee applies to Civil Partnerships booked at an Approved Premise and is non refundable.
Please note these fees are subject to annual review and do not include the hire of rooms or any other service.
*This fee must be paid to the Superintendent Registrar at least four weeks before the ceremony is due to take place, and includes the cost of one certificate, issued on the day and the attendance of two Registration Officers.
Civil Partnership Fees - Extra certificates
It is possible to obtain further copies for a fee of £10.00 each.
