Welcome to regeneration. The Council and its partners place a high priority on physical, economic and environmental regeneration. Much of this work is focused in priority areas that complement work to address deprivation and inequalities. Regeneration services contribute to a Thriving Stockport, a major plank of Stockport’s Strategy 2020.
Services that make up regeneration deliver the following:
- To improve, manage and promote the District and Local Centres
- To deliver key/priority regeneration projects across the Borough
- To protect, enhance and increase access to Stockport ’s rich heritage through conservation and regeneration
- To deliver the M60 Gateway strategy and town centre Masterplan
These regeneration services work closely with Economic Development, Resource Consultancy, Tourism Development and International Liaison (see related pages to the right).
