Are you eligible?
If you are in receipt of Income Support, Income-Based Job Seeker's Allowance, Income related Employment Support Allowance or the Guarantee part of Pension Credit or if you have an annual income (as assessed by the HM Revenue & Customs) of less than £16,190 each year (but not Working Tax Credit) you will be eligible for Free School Meals
If you are receiving Free School Meals and have children either entering or attending secondary school you will automatically qualify for a school clothing grant. If you have a child in year 7, you will receive £80 towards the cost of the uniform and £20 each year for children in years 8 to 11.
Payment will be automatically sent from the Free School Meals record so there is no need for anyone to apply.

Schools cannot provide free meals to children until it has been authorised by the Council.
Once you have completed the application form, you will need to take it, together with proof of benefit and child benefit to:
