The latest roadworks in Stockport is as follows:

25th March – 31st July: A34 Kingsway and M60 Junction 3
The southbound A34 Kingsway will be reduced to one lane from approximately 300 metres prior to the M60 junction 3 exit slip road to allow for junction improvements and for BT to relocate telephone cables.
The works will also require lane restrictions and temporary overnight closures of the M60 Junction 3 slip roads and temporary closures to South Park Road southbound access from A34.
A signed diversion will be in place for South Park Road which can be accessed via the A34 southbound, Cheadle Royal roundabout, A34 northbound.
13th April - 4th June: Norbury Hollow Road, Hazel Grove
Norbury Hollow Road in Hazel Grove will be closed until 4th June to allow Network Rail to upgrade the crossing point and for Stockport Council to carry out repair work on the bridge.
Diversions for vehicles are in place via Poynton, pedestrian/cyclist movements will be maintained over the bridge throughout the scheme.
13th - 16th May: Stonepail Cottages, Styal Road, Gatley
Temporary two way traffic lights will be in place outside Stonepail Cottages, Styal Road, Gatley to install a new water connection.
The traffic signals will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
15th - 22nd May: Werneth Road, Woodley
Temporary two way traffic lights will be in place outside 11 Werneth Road, Woodley to install repair to fractured gas main.
The traffic signals will be in place 24hrs a day.
20th May: Stockport Road, Marple
Temporary two way traffic lights will be in place outside 304 Stockport Road, Marple to add new connections to street lighting columns.
The traffic signals will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
24th May: Woodford Road, Bramhall
Temporary two way traffic lights will be in place outside 78 Woodford Road, Bramhall to install a new water connection.
The traffic signals will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
8th December 2010 - 8th June 2012: Wellington Street, Town Centre
No left turn in Lower Hillgate from Wellington Street for Major rebuild/refurbishment work on The Peaches building.
Alternative Route - Piccadilly/Edward St/Middle Hillgate/Lower Hillgate.
