Stockport Council has thanked local residents and community groups for their comments on the draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the Woodford Aerodrome Opportunity Site.
More than 500 people had their say on the draft SPD, which will provide guidance for the future of the site and ensure the delivery of a development that is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.
The statutory six week consultation came to an end on Monday 15 October.
Councillor Iain Roberts, Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration at Stockport Council, said: “We’re very grateful to every individual and organisation who responded to the consultation with their comments. This feedback is very important in shaping the final SPD.
“We are now working our way through the responses and considering each one very carefully. All comments will be taken into consideration before preparing the final SPD for adoption.”
The final SPD will be put to the Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme Area Committee, Environment and Economy Scrutiny Committee and Planning and Highways Committee, before being presented to the Executive Committee for final approval.
