Stockport Council is holding a fostering recruitment open day on Wednesday 24th October.
The event organised by the Council’s Fostering team is being held at Job CentrePlus, Heron House, Wellington Street, Stockport from 10.00am to 2.30pm.
Local foster carers and employees from the Council’s Fostering team will be attending the event to offer information and advice to people considering become a foster carer.
Councillor Kevin Dowling, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Children and Young People, said: “I would encourage residents who are interested in becoming a foster carer to come along to this event and learn more about the challenging but hugely rewarding role. We are keen to recruit foster carers to look after children of all ages but in particular teenagers.”
