Up to £10,000 to help communities reduce, re-use and recycle more!

22 Jan 2013
Do you know of a community/voluntary group or a not for profit organisations with an interest in increasing re-use or recycling and reducing waste?

Recycle for Greater Manchester (R4GM) are keen to help them turn that idea into a reality and increase the number of community groups’ actively  helping residents reduce, re-use and recycle more waste in Greater Manchester.
Through the Community Waste Fund (CWF), we have already supported a wide variety of groups.

From a tenant association in Monton, Salford, who encouraged local residents and businesses to recycle right, to a social housing landlord in Trafford who have set up a new furniture re-use organisation and shop which is taking good quality furniture from their empty properties to help new tenants furnish their homes cheaply.
The next round of the CWF is now open for applications until the 15th  February 2013.
If you have an idea but don’t know what to do next you can go to the R4GM website and read the the guidance notes or speak to Phillippa or Rebecca at R4GM who will be able to provide advice, they can be contacted on 0161 770 1700.
To find out about the projects we have funded in the past, to download a copy of the application form, guidance notes or for information on how we score applications please go to the website.
