There are many ways to pay for the Council services that you receive. The most convenient and easier way is to use our online payments service.

Important Change

Fred Perry House – Payment Machines

The choices for paying regular bills like Council Tax, Housing Rents and Business Rates are changing.

The two payment machines located in Fred Perry House will be withdrawn at the end of October to make way for much needed additional customer engagement space.

The machines are being withdrawn because:

1. There are other more convenient alternatives for paying regular bills ‘in person’. Customers can pay bills like Council Tax, Housing Rent and Business Rates at any Post Office, Payzone or Paypoint Outlet (even ones located outside of the borough).

In addition, transferring this custom to Post Offices and convenience stores helps keep these local services and small businesses viable.

2. Fewer than 2% of all bill payments are made using the payment machines making them costly to provide and maintain compared to other payment channels.

3. The machines are over eight years old and are reaching the end of their serviceable life.
