The Rights of Way team manages approximately 200 miles of public footpaths, bridleways, Byways Open to All Traffic (BOATs), and restricted byways. These form a network of tracks and paths both in the urban and in the semi-rural areas of Stockport which provide a valuable resource for recreation and sustainable transport. The Public Rights of Way team has a duty to protect Rights of Way in Stockport. For further information please see 'Related Items' on the right of the page - 'What are PROWs?'.
