Woodbank Park Stockport has a huge variety of parks and recreational spaces. Together these cover almost half of the Borough. Urban parks, countryside and woodland sites and trails provide a wide range of outdoor leisure opportunities. There are almost 100 play areas for children and young people and nearly 40 allotment sites for those who want to ‘grow their own’.

Outdoor leisure opportunities in parks and open space include:

    New: Stockport's Parks and Recreation service are considering ways of improving the stock management, bailiffing and grounds care of its fishable waters and have produced a short Fishing Survey to get feedback from the local fishing community.
