National Year of Reading

National Year of Reading (NYR) is a campaign to encourage parents, children and young people to join their local library. As well as a great way of accessing books and other printed materials, library membership cards give free broadband internet access in libraries and access to on-line reader services.

Honor Wilson-Fletcher, Project Director of the National Year of Reading says “Libraries are brimming with ideas – dangerous, fun and diverting, as well as educational and practical, that can change our lives. Libraries offer a place to read too – where you don’t have to buy anything!”
